Greetings from Shauna in Jindabyne, NSW Australia. Wow! This is my new blog! I'm very excited and awfully nervous. I'm new to the blogging world. I really don't know what direction this blog is going to take me but I hope you'll all enjoy my journey. Come on, come along for the ride.
I recently joined an online quilting group "patchNquilt" http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/patchNquilt/ as I couldn't attend the local Snowy Mountains Quilters patchwork and quilting group meetings as the group meets during the day when I work. Through the online group, I've been introduced to a few people's blogs.
I've been dabbling with the idea of creating my own blog. I like to read about other people - where they live, their interests and motivations but most particularly I love to to see their creations. I find it quite fascinating and motivating. It's also a great way to get ideas for my future projects.
Future projects I say. It sounds like I'm a patchwork and quilting guru! Ha! Far from it. I've only ever finished a couple of projects but I'll share them with you in future sessions. Maybe I'll be a motivation to someone else!
Anyway, it's Friday morning and a day off and one phone call today will determine what happens for the rest of it!
I think in my next post I'll share some things with you about me....how I got into patchworking, my first project, why it turned into a UFO for over 10 years and the finished product. It has certainly been a journey and a half. Til then....as Helen Keller said 'May life be a daring adventure, or nothing.' Like it?
